Second Life
Second Life - The Second Life website, go and sign up! And use Oz Spade as a referrence so I get money. Thats Oz Spade, Oz Spade, Oz Spade.
Snapzilla - Residents are able to send postcards containing images from Second Life, anyone can send pictures to pics@slpics.com, these screenshots will then appear on the website. It's a great way to see what's going on in SL as well as a very simple way to upload pictures to be shown.
2nd Look - An image gallery where you can upload your own pictures or look at others people have submited, some really nice pictures on here.
SLUniverse - Right now just a great forum to look up stuff or post questions, some tutorials and an FAQ that could help you out.
History Wiki - Project run by myself and Eggy Lippmann, a project to document the history and progression of Second Life.
Support Wiki - The Second Life Support Wiki, Linden Lab set up this support wiki where people can go look up questions as well as answer some. Check it out and see if you can help out (login required).
LSL Wiki - The Linden Script Language Wiki, more usefull than the script help pages that come with SL, very very good place to look up all your scripting questions and finding out stuff.
SuckiWiki - A wiki to discuss SL and provide some documentation to the UI and other such things for SL.
New World Notes - Hamlet Lindens updated articles he often does, entertaining and sometimes informational.
Second Life Stuff - A website with some handy stuff to download, the most updated and usefull one being SciTE, an application for editing documents in which Ezhar Fairlight (owner of the site) has written an add-on to that allows you to do LSL scripting offline (does not compile, but highlights).
SL Sim FPS Plots - This page lists graphs that show the FPS (Frames Per Second) of each sim that has one of the scripted objects in it. If you live in a sim that isn't listed on there contact Chromal Brodsky about hosting one on your land. Also see the Population Stats!
Landmarker - Share your landmarks with other users through this website! Provides a map with locations and lists of user submitted Landmarks.
Cadroe Murphy's Website - Cadroe always has cool projects going on. Most notably the making of 3D maps of the SL world and an application to view them in.
Ulrikasheim Tools - Some neat tools, a transcript tool that adds coloring for easier readability and a Name2Key that lets you look up a users key just by their name.
Pixel Dolls - Website for a clothing store, the pictures are nice enough to check out.
Prim Limit Calculator - Enter in your property size and it will tell you how many prims that land can hold, helpfull if you don't like math or anything.
VERTU - A group project dedicated to raising funds within SL to give to non-profit orginizations.
SL Maps - A very cool website with old, historic, and a timeline map.
Rate My Av - A rating site, but for SL avatars! Very neat idea!

So There Forum - Best There forum ever, go visit it! A hell of alot better than the Officials too.
There Universe - A website that provides news/info about There.
Life In There - This website also provides news/info about There, I like it(and I wasn't paid to say that).
bboy Design Utilities - Some cool third-party utilities and add-ons for There. Be sure to check out the QuickBar one of THE MOST usefull add-ons I've seen for there, blows any toolbar provided by There out of the water, no Thereian should be without this!
Bedican Compass - Another VERY usefull third-party add-on. Provides an improved compass, a GPS utility, and some other helpfull built-in utilities. Yet another thing that no one should be without!
There Wiki - Not sure how active this is, but the only There Wiki I know of. So if you like adding to Wiki's and you like There, check this out! Some interesting info for the curious mind as well.
The World Is Round - First notes on the roundness of There's world. Very interesting stuff.
Virtual Vikki Being There - Virtual Vikki's account of her travels in There
Tiki Taxi Co. - A neat concept, a buggy taxi service in which they will drive you to your destinations. I think its worth mentioning for its novelty, also the website looks great.
Don Carson's Creative - Website home of Don Carson, who worked as a developer for there from 2003-2004. He's very talented in designs and its fun to see his sketches and work.
Brian Wyser.com - Talented There developer, working in animations and models.
Craig Maitlen Design - A work in progress website of another developer, not sure what exactly he's done, perhaps place building. Neat website design as well.
Matty Bomb - Designer of artwork, locations, vehicles, props, animals, and avatars in There. Mostly doing Modeling and Mapping of items, provides some interesting looks at the design process.
John Gabriel - Another There designer, not sure exactly what he's done either.

ActiveWorlds - The main site, go and check it out, it has some neat features.
AWNews - Best (and only) news site for ActiveWorlds, good place to keep up to date with whats going on.
AW Newsletter - The Newsletter, updated monthly, pretty good for official news.
Citizen List - A numerical listing of Citizen Names and Numbers.
AWHS - The Active Worlds Historical Society official website, check it out to learn about the history of ACtive Worlds!
Mauz's Active Worlds Website - A very informational and awsome website providing alot of information and history for AW. Perhaps the most comprehensive AW fansite.
AW Property Search - Lost your property or objects and can't find them? This website can help you out!
Other Virtual World Related
Virtual Worlds Review - Very cool website with reviews on a wide variety of virtual worlds. Can sometimes be a bit outdated, but generaly pretty well.
Jeffrey Ventrella - Former There developer, now working at Linden Lab, has some interesting background information on his work in There, as well as some papers on concepts, sketches, and fun things to play with.
Croquet Project - An open source virtual world currently in development. Has some interesting concepts and development going on. Still in very early development.
Interreality Project - Otherwise known as VOS (Virtual Object System). Yet another interesting Open Source project, still in early development as well.
Open Source Metaverse Project - Otherwise known as OSMP, yet another Open Source virtual world. Offers some tools simular to Second Life and XML based databasing and such.
IMVU - A commercial (free to download, pay for everything else) Virtual World/IM Add-On. Has some nice concepts and looks nice, simular in style to There with chat-bubbles and product buying. Created and run by former There developers and staff.
